Three weeks ago we began with the anti-covid measures at the entrance of the Resort, requiring the use of face masks and taking the temperature of all visitors who enter Puerto Aventuras on foot, by bike, by truck or by private vehicle.

When doing something new, it always takes a few days of adaptation so that each person understands the measure and has the discipline to follow it. After a few days, the vast majority of visitors have understood the concept and show up at the entrance with their mask on, including those who enter by car.

These measures have been very well received by the community. Residents are relieved to know that their employees, visitors and providers have passed the temperature check and are wearing a mask to visit them. They also see it beneficial that we take the temperature of the cooks and waiters who serve them in the restaurants they visit.

Likewise, we have received positive comments from employees and workers who feel comfortable with the measures since they understand that they are positive measures for their health and to reduce their risk of contracting covid, especially for those who work with other people (workers, waiters, cooks …).

It is also important to remember that the fight against covid should be an effort of all, for which we invite all residents to take care of themselves and respect the instructions of the authorities.

We also made some changes to the entry process and we have seen positive results after a few days. First, we closed the passage from the gas station to the visitor lanes, thus preventing many people from sneaking into the line, which slowed down the entrance and generated 1 or 2 accidents every month.

To reduce the queues in visitor lanes 4 and 5, we have invited residents who did not have a passport to get one and all residents with PA passport to use our new APP so that their visitors can enter through the employee express lane number 3. As you have seen, these measures have reduced the number of people entering lanes 4 and 5, thus reducing the entry time of visitors to the Resort. Additionally, step by step, visitors understand that they must let the vehicles that leave the Resort and want to go to the gas station pass, although some efforts are still lacking on this issue.

If you still do not have your passport, we invite you to request it as soon as possible to benefit from quick access to the Resort and get our new APP free. The cost o the passport is 250 pesos and we want to clarify that we will never distribute free passport since at Covenant we apply the same rules for everyone and more than 3000 people have paid to have their passport.
