News No. 23 : Summary of the Community Meeting of May 21, 2021

Our second monthly meeting was a success. Just before starting, there was a strong storm at the Beach Club, which limited a bit the participation (42 people) but was compensated by a greater presence in Zoom totaling more than 100 people.

The developer (Román) and the Covenant Board of Directors (Marc, Thierry and Rafael), explained the progress made since the last meeting, as well as the new projects they have on the way. Then there was an extensive question session where we clarified the doubts of the community.

We started with the agreement with HBO to film a series in Puerto Aventuras over the course of several months, which will bring very positive publicity for our Resort. In addition, the presence of one hundred people from the film crew will translate into clients for the restaurants, hotels and shops of Puerto Aventuras.

We are making very good progress on the entrance issue. Since the beginning of the year we have issued 600 passports for employees, with which, today 98% of workers enter with their Passport card, which allows us to avoid entering 180,000 manual records per year, since when passing with their PA Passport,  a list of employees who enter the Resort each day is automatically generated.

The next stage is to generalize the use of the APP, to avoid manually register hundreds of thousands of visitors that enter each year. Many residents are already using it, and those who have not yet, will need to pick up their guests, providers, or casual workers at the entrance.

Among the new projects we have is the Positive Media Campaign that is about to be released on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as the implementation of facial recognition and automatic license plate reading to improve security at the entrance to the Resort.

This latest project, in collaboration with GigNet, will make it possible to substantially increase security in Puerto Aventuras and become the safest and most advanced technology Resort in the Riviera Maya.

There was also a presentation by Mr. Christopher Byrne Spinnler, Vice President of Sales for GigNet, who explained the million-dollar investments in Puerto Aventuras to bring an optimal quality service. They have set up a free connection so that the community can test the service around the Commercial Marina, and also in the Beach Club, where residents can work online in front of the beach. They are offering free installation for all residents. For its part, Covenant offers the first 3 months of service free to its members.

The advantages of being members of Covenant were explained, first because you are part of the Official Association of Residents of Puerto Aventuras, then because Covenant is the only association that has a clear vision to improve the Resort and increase the value of its properties, thanks to a modern and efficient administration, and optimal security, using the most advanced technologies. Finally, because by joining Covenant you get a large number of discounts, such as, for example, a 20% discount on water, we give you 3 months free on GigNet, you get discounts at the Beach Club and the Golf, 50% discount on Covenant Passport cards and bracelets… which covers a large part of your maintenance fee.

For many residents it is already clear that Covenant is the only solution to manage Puerto Aventuras in a positive, efficient, and modern way, which is why the number of our affiliates has increased by 60% in the last 5 months.

We invite you all to our next meeting in June to tell you more about our progress and the news ideas we have to improve the lives of all owners and residents of Puerto Aventuras.
